Tough day in the office!

Marlborough started the game with anticipation, knowing it would be a hard game against recently relegated Salisbury 1s.
Despite Marlborough's best efforts Salisbury opened the scoring, this clearly gave them confidence and they continued to pressurise the Marlborough defence and scored 3 more. Marlborough had some chances but were denied by the woodwork and a strong Salisbury defence and finally got a goal before half time from a well worked short corner, Alex Crosby Jones placing the ball into the bottom right corner.
With a resurgence in the second half after a tough half time team talk Marlborough fought hard but Salisbury were too strong and put another 3 goals into the net. Marlborough again weren't going down without a fight and Alex Crosby Jones once more and from open play found the back of Salisbury's goal.
