Soaked to the bone, but another win for the Ladies 2s last weekend! Good team passing and quick set up of the press proved we still are the team that started the season on a high and have all the potential to go out and win the league this year! A physical game from a demanding opposition and with only 11 players (some troopers still nursing the flu) we played hard and gave Corsham a run for their money. Steady defence at the back from Emily and Karen caught any loose balls they sent our way, with some quick passing to Lou and our inners, Jen and Verity, sending the ball out to Victoria and Holly on the wings, up to the forwards for some standard cracking goals. The weather was not on our side, starting late and already wet, slips and falls were by the minute and some of us at least spent a significant amount of time trying to play from the ground! Goals from Freya, Theresa and two from Verity and a clean sheet again for Amy ended us on a 4-0 win. Bruising, battering and astro burns aside, a solid win and enjoyable, if soggy, game! Bring on next weekend! (And some sunshine please!)
