Wet, windy and winning at Winscombe

On a wet and windy afternoon the 2s trapsed over to Windscombe to try to secure another 3 points. After many near misses Freya managed to score a wonderful short corner. Shortly after, Millie tapped one of Freya's crosses into the goal to put us 2 up. However, Windscombe caught us on the break slipping a goal past Gabbie, Emily and Karen who were fantastic in defence. Just before half time, Verity took a strike from the top which made it convincingly passed the goal keeper.

After halftime, Tat smacked Verity's cross into the backboard before Verity scored another of her amazing goals. Although, Windscombe broke us down again making the score 5-2. Finally, Freya scored an amazing Penalty flick that was placed out of the goalies reach in the top left hand corner. Helena, Jen and Ellie all had a few chances and Louisa held the team well in the centre of midfield. Victoria made some super runs up the right creating multiple opportunities!

Freya and Ellie were man of the match but lots of players got votes which reflected the team spirit of the game!
