A match to improve on going forward.

Despite our first home game being in the pouring rain, we were determined to give North Wilts a tough game. In the first half we worked well to move the ball up the pitch around the oppositions very solid defence. North Wilts fought back hard though, and an early goal slipped past Chloe at the back. In response Taty, Verity and Freya tested their keeper with Freya scoring a rebound goal. Gabbie, Alex, Sarah and Katie worked hard at the back, but another goal for the away side slipped through. Chloe skilfully saved many shots and received player of the match for all her hard work in the first half.

We were lucky to have Edie as a second keeper in the second half. She made some awesome saves but North Wilts managed to find the back of the net several more times. Louisa, Jen, Becky, Ellie and Helena tried hard to break down attacking play in the middle of the pitch while Sarah and Katie put up a solid defence, but eventually the score line became impossible to fight back from! 9 players received nominations for player of the match in a tough 2nd game of the season.
