Last Saturday, the Marlborough Ladies 2nd team played Frome. The match started with our first pushback and we kept ball possession for quite a long time, passing well to Victoria who played in the middle and subsequently passed out to the wings. However we lost ball possession and Frome managed to score in the first 15 minutes. The team kept their heads high though and we managed to score within a few minutes, with Jaime and Meg both playing exceptionally. A beautiful strike from Jaime brought our score equal with Froome.

After half time, we came back strong with the defence fighting off attacks from the Frome forwards well and the team working brilliantly to keep the ball in their half. Unfortunately a few goals went in in the last 10-15 minutes which left the final score at 4-1. Man of the match went to Edie who was on top form, saving a huge amount of goals and really challenging the Frome attackers. Votes also went to Meg and Sophie, both of who were critical members of the team, playing beautifully in their positions. The final score was 4-1 to Frome. Well done to everyone who played.
