First win of the season for Marlborough 2

Marlborough Women’s 2s, arrived at St Joseph’s college on a warm and sunny Saturday morning to play West Wilts. After a quick warm up on either side they were ready to play.

Marlborough won first push back and made a strong start down the pitch to Wilts' goal. After many great attempts from Deb J, Lotte S and Tilly, Marlborough we’re rewarded with excellent goal by Penny. A great save was made by Karen Davis, who took the position of goal keeper, was then transferred up the wing. Although Marlborough were the dominant team throughout the first half, they were unlucky to lose a tricky shot across the posts to West Wilts. At half time the score was 1-1.

The second half consisted of more great play from Marlborough, lots of passes around the back, fast runs up the wings and great play into space from Sarah and Sophie. Marlborough shortly found there way into Wilts' D by top goal scorer Penny, for a finish of 2-1 to Marlborough. Congratulations to Tilly King who was awarded POTM.
