The astro turf pitches are at Marlborough College (behind the swimming pool). Several other clubs also use the College facilities so please park responsibly.

Make sure your child comes to training with the following:
- Fitted gum shield
- Shin pads
- Water bottle
- Suitable clothing – baselayers, hats, gloves & waterproof coat are essential as we only cancel training if the pitches are frozen!
- Stick (can be provided if required)

Emergency Contact Information:
It is vital that the Emergency contact details and medical information for your child is up to date – these can be checked and updated on your account on our website.

Communication:
We use the Pitchero Club app and our website to communicate details of any training cancellations or match availability. The app makes it easy to receive instant notifications from the coaches and also update training and match availability and we recommend that you use it.

Payment:
Please ensure that you have paid the Junior Membership fees (unless we have already contacted you) prior to the first training session otherwise your child’s place might be at risk.

Volunteering and Club Contacts:
Like many other clubs, we rely solely on volunteers, many having several roles, be it Committee Members or coaches. We are always looking for additional helpers, especially at our Sunday training sessions, so if you wish to join our merry band then please get in touch with any of the contacts below. The full list of Club contacts can be found on the Club website:
Club Chair & Head of Junior Coaching – Sarah Kendall
Club Vice-Chair & Webmaster – Chris Jones
Club Captain – Rich Holman
Club Secretary – Verity Langfield
Welfare Officer – John Berry / Sarah Kendall
Junior Membership Co-ordinator – Karen Jones

And finally, check out the Men’s & Women’s Euro Hockey Championship currently being shown on BBC iPlayer and keep an eye out for our current men’s coach, Craig Falconer (wearing #12), representing Scotland. He scored a cracking goal in their match against Ireland!
Our own men’s and ladies teams play at the College on Saturday mornings. It’s great for the Junior members to see the game played and support our Senior sides! A list of all matches can be found on the website.

If you have any queries or questions about the upcoming season, please let myself or Sarah know. Enjoy the remainder of the Summer holiday and we’ll see you in a few weeks.
