The Marlborough Hockey Club Annual General Meeting will take place at the clubhouse at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 25th June 2025, 3 weeks today. All club members are invited and encouraged to attend.

This is your opportunity to have your say on the running of the club, and raise any good ideas you may have for the future development of the club. Please do come along and have your say!

The AGM will cover several matters, and there are two in particular that I would like to draw your attention to:

- Election of Club Officers. We will be electing the committee for the season ahead. In particular, we are after a new club secretary, junior coordinators and social secretary. You don't necessarily need to be a player to fulfil these roles! Please get in touch for more information, or to put your name forward.

- Voting on Subscriptions. In the 11 years I have been a member of the club, adult subscriptions have remained at a steady £100/season, and I think junior subs have only gone up once. Unfortunately, we now find ourselves in a position where we are going to have to put up subs. This is driven by the rising costs of running and maintaining the clubhouse, and by a significant change to the EH membership fee which will roughly double our club subscription fee this year. The EH rises will, however, lead to significant benefits, including insurance for all players, and better, free access to coaching, umpiring and safeguarding courses & resources. Our proposal is to raise subs as follows:

- Junior subs, from £70 to £80
- Young adult (18-25) from £80 to £100
- Adult subs from £100 to £120
