U16 Girls Last match

After adventuring out to Wotton-under-Edge, in the strong winds, we played with high spirits and determination. At half time the score was 4-0 with the score of 7-0 to them at the end of the match. Issy, in goal, saved some difficult shots and, well-deservedly was awarded Wotton’s player of the match. There was a strong back line that managed to fend off attack after attack.
Everyone went out to play in the second half with great determination and willpower and there was huge improvement. The forwards played with persistence and stamina, especially after half time, which showed as the game was played dominantly in their half.
Jess got player of the match, as our choice, as she played an amazing game, of grit and courage.
Overall everyone showed teamwork and heart - never giving up. It was an energetic game filled with ups and downs but always played with spirit and tenacity.
