A good turn out from Marlborough B for this home game against the league leaders. The competition was intense from the very start but Marlborough just had the edge. A short corner was won and, following a deliberately inaccurate injection from Wayne Cranstone, Phil Gill managed to slip the ball left to Chris Newton who neatly lifted the ball into the goal. Shortly after, West Wilts were awarded a penalty flick, superbly saved by keeper, Tom Collins. Ten minutes later, the opposition had another penalty flick, this one, Tom Collins just failed to keep out of the net. The second half saw plenty of back and forth with a few chances to score which Marlborough couldn't quite manage. A 1-1 draw which was a fair result.
