Solid draw

Marlborough turned out with an unusually high number of subs thanks to a much needed injection of talent from the junior section of the club. Tom Patterson, Will Bishop, Oli Markam and Doug Rogan Rea stepped up to play mens hockey for the first time. The game was quite even from the beginning with lots of end to end action. The Marlborough goal came after a blistering run to the baseline by Leo Ring who dragged the ball back to the P spot where Chris Newton was waiting to lift it into the goal. The opposition also put away one goal leading to a fair 1-1 result.
