Well fought game

Marlborough B started back soon after New Year with this game on 4th January. There were 16 Marlborough players, the first time this season that we have had a full subs bench, against a Firebrands Team playing with a bare 11. It became clear soon after the starting whistle that the opposition were a well drilled unit, used to playing together each week. The Marlborough team tried to use their numbers and (relative) youth to tire out Firebrands but they kept repulsing us and at half time we were 1-0 down. The second half was more of the same with the final score being 3-0. This was a big improvement over our first encounter with Firebrands in October and every Marlborough player came away having had an enjoyable game.
