Right from the Push back Team Bath Bucks were eager to win, putting a huge amount of pressure on our goal and on our inners, within a few minutes of the start they had scored. Despite the interceptions and good saves from the backline, which had slowed them down, another goal was conceded. After a good turnover and a good attempt at scoring our own we had an opportunity to have a shot on goal as we had been awarded a short corner. However after a quick succession of lots of short corners for Marlborough no goals were scored. However after a break from Annabel, we had scored after Verity knocked the ball into their goal which was set up by Annabel. However within a few minutes of the end Bath scored another goal was scored leaving the score at the start of half time 5-1.
By the second half the pressure was building in the centre of the pitch giving way to end to end play. However after a successful short corner they were on a goal streak again. After a few more failed attempts at scoring they had a few breaks and managed to score even through the two teams battling it out in the centre of the pitch. Despite the saves from our goalie and the stamina of our inners the score was 9-1 at the end of a well fought match which didn’t reflect the end score.
