1. Welfare Information

Marlborough Hockey Club treats the welfare of all those playing at the club as an important concern, and as such has both a female and male Club Welfare Officer. Their role is to ensure that the Club adopts England Hockey’s Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Hockey Policy, Procedures and Guidance to ensure all those in the hockey family have a safe and positive experience.

The Club conducts a yearly Risk Assessment for the Hockey pitches with Marlborough College.

If you wish to raise any concerns over the welfare of any of the people associated with the club (playing, volunteering or even just watching), particularly but not exclusively with regards to children please contact our Club Welfare Officers via email. welfare@marlborough-hockey.org.uk

All our Coaches and Captains are DBS checked and complete the appropriate Safeguarding training (either full course or online). Club Welfare Officers also attend a hockey specific Time to Listen workshop.

The Club’s Welfare Officers are:

Dan Crossman
Verity Langfield
Sarah Kendall
